on my shelf
I've always got a book list: ones I've read, ones I want to read someday, ones I plan to read next month or this week.
I think books are magic. As a kid, I frequently snuck stories under my desk during every class except for English. Now, when I need to refresh and recharge, I go to the bookstore or library to walk through the stacks and simply browse the spines and covers, coffee in hand. Literature reminds me that the world is a big place, but opportunities for connection abound; it also encourages me to find my own sliver of creativity within my life-long commitment to writing.
